IFMK Law is a leading multi-state defense firm specializing in workers' compensation, governmental and public entity defense, insurance and employment law, commercial litigation, subrogation, and employment law for public and private sector clients. IFMK maintains headquarters in Chicago and Northbrook, Illinois, with branches throughout the Midwest.  This position is specifically for a workers’ compensation defense attorney out of our office in downtown Champaign, Illinois, though candidates who would prefer to work out of the Chicago office would also be considered.

We are seeking a workers' compensation defense attorney to work out of our office in Champaign, Illinois, at the M2 building in downtown Champaign. 

Opportunities include:
   

• Managing a litigation case load under the mentorship and supervision of multiple partners
• Handling depositions of medical experts and witnesses
• Conducting thorough investigations relevant to each case
• Engaging in legal research on a variety of issues
• Negotiating with opposing counsel and obtaining favorable settlement results
• Practicing in all stages of litigation, including pre-trials, trials, and appeals
• Involvement in a variety of collaborations and projects
• Maintaining and developing relationships with a wide variety of clients, from major corporations and large municipalities to small businesses

Requirements

We are seeking a workers' compensation defense attorney with 0-5 years of experience.

• A valid Illinois law license in good standing with the bar.
