Part-Time Associate Attorney — Family Law & Criminal Defense

McAdams & Sartori, LLC, a Kendall County and Kane County-based firm concentrating in family law and criminal defense, is seeking a part-time associate attorney (15-25 hours/week). This role offers substantive courtroom experience with the flexibility of remote work—ideal for an attorney seeking meaningful practice without a full-time commitment.

The Role:

Regular appearances in Kendall and Kane County courts (23rd and 16th Judicial Circuits)
Casework spanning dissolution of marriage, allocation judgments, orders of protection, and criminal defense, including DUI matters
Flexible, hybrid schedule — court appearances paired with remote drafting, research, and client communication
Direct collaboration with the firm's founding attorney

Requirements

Licensed to practice in Illinois, in good standing with the ARDC
Experience in family law and/or criminal defense preferred, but strong writers and quick learners are encouraged to apply
Comfortable in a courtroom setting and confident handling client-facing matters
Self-motivated and organized — able to manage a caseload independently while working part-time
