At Simmons Law, LLC, we help our clients navigate through one of the most difficult and emotionally draining situations they will ever face. Whether it’s an amicable dissolution or a bitter divorce, we are committed to ensuring our clients have a hard-working and dedicated attorney who will advocate for their best interest and guide them through the legal process.
We value access to justice and take great pride in representing the many people in our community who may not have deep pockets but can manage affordable payment plans. Our clients often come to us with significant issues related to child abuse, custody, and domestic violence, and we take pride in providing each of them with empathetic and impactful support. We believe that no one should have to face a family law issue alone, and everyone deserves legal representation.
Company History
Simmons Law, LLC was founded in 2016 after Attorney Simmons left the world of legal aid to start a private practice that catered to similar clients: those who may not qualify for legal aid, but cannot pay a large retainer that most firms require.
Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
Attorneys Simmons is active in the Rockford community, and serves as the President of The Board of Directors for Kids' Place, the Secretary for the Board of Directors for Circles of Learning, and the Family and Child Law Sections Co-Chair of the Winnebago County Bar Association. Attorneys Simmons also donates her time to represent Children's Safe Harbor, a vital resource for Winnebago County and surrounding areas.

We offer very flexible schedules and are a fully remote firm. We offer paid time off, the opportunity for bonus pay, and an annual CLE stipend. An employer matching 401k will be offered within the first year of practice. The firm also covers costs for yearly license fees, bar association memberships, and social bar association events. We provide a laptop, monitor, and the other necessary technology to support our remote work environment.
