University of Illinois College of Law
The University of Illinois College of Law in Urbana Champaign is one of the oldest law schools in the country, with an accomplished and influential faculty, a smart and collegial student body, and a strong alumni network. In addition to its full-time faculty, the College of Law regularly employs distinguished lawyers and academics as adjunct professors. The College of Law is currently accepting applications for adjunct faculty positions in all areas of the law but has particular needs for the following specialties:
- Labor Law
- Section 1983
- Public Corruption and Fraud
- Race and the Law
- Trial Advocacy
Classes will meet in the Law Building in Champaign, typically once or twice per week between mid-January and early May.
A JD and two or more years of legal experience are required; prior teaching experience and a current law license are strongly preferred.
Appointment Information
These are five to ten percent Academic positions appointed for the Spring 2025 semesters. The anticipated start date is in January 2024. Salary is between $3000 and $8000, depending on credit hours. These positions are not eligible for University benefits.
